Every single role features a clear job description, measured objectives and an immutable place in the chain of approval. Because our platform’s security and user permissions are natively engineered from this exact organizational structure — not bolted on as an afterthought — we provide true operational accountability from the ground up.

How hiring works here

A unified pipeline for a unified platform.

We treat recruitment with the same structural precision as our logistics engine. No loose emails or scattered CVs — every application is managed natively inside the ecosystem for total transparency.

There is no separate careers inbox, and we do not ask for a CV before there is a real vacancy. When a position opens it is posted in the HubCart app, where you apply, track your application and message the hiring team in one place.

  1. Create a free account Anyone can sign up. You do not need to be a seller, a driver or anything else — every HubCart account starts as a customer account.

We never charge a candidate anything. No application fee, no training fee, no “processing” payment — not at any stage, and nobody at HubCart is authorised to ask for one. If someone asks you to pay for a HubCart job, it is not us; please report it.

The structure

Six levels, and they mean something

These are not titles for a business card. The level a person holds decides what they may approve in the system, and the department they belong to decides which records they may see at all. An approval outside your department or above your level is refused by the platform, and the attempt is recorded.

Customer Care

6 positions

The people who answer when something goes wrong. Smart Help handles the routine questions automatically, so this team works on the cases that genuinely need a person.

  • Customer Care Representative Employee

    Handle inbound customer enquiries through in-app chat, email, and the help-ticket system. Resolve order, delivery, and payment issues promptly and courteously. The platform's Smart Help / AI assistant answers many routine questions automatically; the Representative focuses on the cases that need a person.

    Typically requires Diploma or equivalent; degree in Communications, Business, or related field preferred.

  • Customer Care Charge Charge

    Coordinate daily workload distribution among Customer Care Representatives. Monitor queue volumes and reassign tickets to balance the team's capacity.

  • Customer Care Supervisor Supervisor

    Oversee the Customer Care team's day-to-day performance, coach representatives, and ensure service-level targets are met.

  • Customer Care Line Manager Line manager

    Manage the entire Customer Care function across shifts and channels. Drive process improvements and represent the customer voice in cross-functional meetings.

  • Customer Care Manager Manager

    Define and execute the customer care strategy aligned with company goals. Own the end-to-end customer experience across all support channels.

  • Customer Care Administrator Systems administrator

    Full administrative access to all customer care platform tools and configurations. Responsible for system setup, user provisioning, and audit compliance.

Finance / Accounting

Owns the money rails: escrow releases, supplier and driver payouts, refunds, reconciliation and the platform’s own tax filings.

  • Finance / Accounting Officer Employee

    Keep the platform's finances clean and accurate day to day. HubCart's system records every transaction, holds funds in escrow, and reconciles M-PESA and bank settlement automatically — the Officer reviews those automated records, investigates exceptions, processes refunds, and supports the monthly close from the Accounting Center.

  • Finance / Accounting Charge Charge

    Coordinate workload among Finance Officers, ensure deadlines are met, and assist the Supervisor with month-end close activities.

    Supervise the accounting team, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and enforce internal controls.

    Manage the full accounting function including budgeting, forecasting, and statutory compliance.

    Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

  • Finance Manager Manager

    Direct the company's financial strategy, risk management, and reporting to the board and investors.

  • Finance Systems Administrator Systems administrator

    Administer HubCart's finance tooling — the Accounting Center, Tax Settings, refund controls, payout/M-PESA settings, and app-cost tracking — managing configuration, access, and data accuracy.

Human Resources

Recruitment, contracts, employee records and the department structure that the access-control system is built on.

  • Human Resources Officer Employee

    Support the HR function inside the HubCart platform, which maintains employee records, leave balances, and payslips automatically. Assist with recruitment, keep people data accurate, and handle day-to-day HR enquiries.

  • Human Resources Charge Charge

    Coordinate HR administrative workflows and ensure timely processing of recruitment, leave, and employee relations activities.

    Typically requires Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.

  • Human Resources Supervisor Supervisor

    Supervise the HR team, drive employee engagement initiatives, and ensure compliance with labour regulations.

  • Human Resources Line Manager Line manager

    Manage the HR department operations including talent acquisition, compensation design, learning & development, and employee relations.

    Set the people strategy for the organisation, drive culture, and serve as a trusted adviser to executive leadership on all talent matters.

    Administer the HR information system (HRIS), manage user access, and ensure employee data integrity and confidentiality.

IT

Keeps the platform running and access correct — accounts, permissions, integrations and the systems the other teams work in.

  • IT Support Technician Employee

    Provide first-line technical support to internal staff and help keep the HubCart platform and its cloud services healthy. HubCart runs on managed cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud / Cloud Run / Firebase) — there are no on-premise servers to tend — so the role blends everyday user support with platform and integration monitoring.

  • IT Charge Charge

    Coordinate the IT support queue, assign tasks across the technical team, and ensure SLAs are met for all internal service requests.

    Supervise the IT support and infrastructure team, mentor technicians, and drive service improvement projects.

    Manage IT operations, project delivery, and the technology roadmap supporting business objectives.

    Define the technology vision and strategy, lead digital transformation, and ensure the company's technology stack is secure, scalable, and cost-effective.

  • IT Systems Administrator Systems administrator

    Administer HubCart's cloud platform and internal systems with privileged access — managing configuration, access/roles, security, integrations, and reliability across the Google Cloud stack.

Operations

6 positions

The core of the marketplace: order oversight, dispatch exceptions, verification and approvals. HubCart holds no stock and runs no warehouses, so this is judgement work, not fulfilment.

  • Operations Associate Employee

    Keep the marketplace running day to day: work the onboarding and listing queues, watch live orders and automated driver dispatch, and resolve the exceptions the system flags. HubCart holds no stock and runs no warehouses — suppliers list and fulfil their own products and the platform dispatches drivers automatically; the Associate handles the cases that need a human.

    Typically requires Diploma or degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Operations Charge Charge

    Coordinate the Operations team's daily workload and own the team's weekly shift schedule, keeping the review queues and the live-order desk covered across operating hours.

  • Operations Supervisor Supervisor

    Supervise the Operations team and safeguard the customer experience across live orders — coaching staff, tuning how exceptions are handled, and working with Transport and Finance on cross-department cases.

  • Operations Line Manager Line manager

    Manage the Operations function end to end for a technology marketplace — the onboarding, verification, live-order, moderation, and dispute processes — and keep the platform's automated matching and dispatch running smoothly through the right human oversight and settings. (No stock or warehousing is involved.)

  • Operations Manager Manager

    Define the Operations strategy for the platform, scale capacity as order volume and new markets grow, and ensure HubCart consistently delivers a fast, reliable marketplace experience — without holding stock or running warehouses.

  • Operations Systems Administrator Systems administrator

    Administer the operations tooling inside the HubCart platform — access, configuration, and data accuracy for the onboarding, order, dispatch-oversight, and operator-intelligence surfaces.

Payroll

Runs the payroll cycle the platform computes — PAYE, SHIF, NSSF and the Housing Levy — and checks it before anyone is paid.

  • Payroll Officer Employee

    Run and verify the platform's automated payroll each cycle. HubCart calculates gross pay, statutory deductions (PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, Housing Levy), unpaid-leave proration, and payslips automatically — the Officer reviews the results, enters adjustments, and makes sure everyone is paid accurately and on time.

  • Payroll Charge Charge

    Coordinate payroll data collection across departments and perform first-level verification before processing.

  • Payroll Supervisor Supervisor

    Supervise the payroll team, review payroll runs, and ensure statutory compliance for all compensation activities.

    Manage the payroll function end-to-end, including policy design, system management, and external compliance.

    Set the compensation philosophy and total-rewards strategy aligned with market competitiveness and company affordability.

    Administer the payroll platform, manage user access, and safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of compensation data.

Marketing & Public Relations

Growth, campaigns, referrals and how HubCart explains itself. Configures promotions for review; approval sits with the owner.

  • Marketing Associate Employee

    Run day-to-day promotions and referral tooling while producing content and supporting outreach campaigns. Create and manage discount vouchers, issue house/company referral codes for recruitment drives, and help set up the monthly draw for review.

  • Community & PR Lead Supervisor

    Coordinate community outreach and public-relations activity, oversee active campaigns, and ensure promotions and referral codes are configured correctly and on-brand before they go live.

  • Marketing & Communications Manager Manager

    Own the full marketing toolset and set the growth, promotions, and PR strategy. Direct promotions/vouchers, house/company codes, monthly draw setup and review, and the referral & ambassador programme.
