Unifying commerce, multi-vertical logistics and human capital into a single frictionless network

The all-in-one digital ecosystem.

HubCart is a closed-loop digital ecosystem built from the ground up to merge product commerce, multi-vertical logistics, gig-economy talent and property rentals into a single application. Designed for a nationwide footprint, it connects customers with suppliers, drivers, eateries, property owners and equipment owners — safeguarding transactions with escrow payments held until the job is done. One account, entirely in English or Kiswahili, covers all of it.

One account. As many roles as you need.

Most applications force you to choose: are you a buyer, or a seller? HubCart uses a role-based system layered on top of a unified Customer Dashboard. Everyone joins as a Customer by default. From there you can apply for specialised roles whenever you want to start earning — unlocking professional tools right inside your main profile, without ever losing the account you use to shop.

  1. Join as a customer

Establish your identity instantly with your mobile number and M-Pesa credentials, then browse, transact and pay across the marketplace.

  2. Add a role

Expand your profile to list inventory, dispatch vehicles, fulfil culinary orders, host properties or lease heavy equipment. Most roles open immediately; driving needs your documents checked first.

  3. Get the tools

Each approved role adds its own workspace to your dashboard — listings, orders, jobs, a calendar — alongside everything else.

  4. Stay a customer

Switching into a role is not a one-way door. Your wallet, orders and history stay exactly where they were.

What you can do on HubCart

Buy goods

Source localised inventory, agricultural yields or wholesale distribution — from a single item to a bulk load. Delivery is priced by precise distance and payload, itemised in full before you pay, including the M-Pesa charge.

Order food

Browse eateries close to you, order from their live menu, and follow the order from the kitchen to your door. Kitchens set their own trading hours, so you only see places that are actually open.

Book a ride

Deploy on-demand transit for passengers or local cargo on a live-mapped routing grid. See the fare estimate before you confirm, and rate the operator afterwards — only verified passengers of that trip can.

Travel between towns

Reserve specific seats on inter-city trips, pay in advance, and board with a scannable pass. Cancel before departure and the refund is worked out per seat, not all-or-nothing.

Rent equipment or vehicles

Hire construction plant, farm tools or a vehicle for a set period. The condition is photographed and recorded at handover and again at return, so a dispute has evidence behind it rather than two opinions.

Find property to rent

Access a nationwide listing of residential, commercial and agricultural property. Coordinate directly with asset owners through in-app messaging — ask about lease terms or request a viewing, with no commission taken on your rent.

Book a short stay

Book a furnished place by the night from a host's own calendar. The nightly rate, any cleaning charge, the minimum stay and the cancellation terms are all shown before you pay.

Buy or sell a vehicle

List cars, bikes, lorries and machinery, or browse what is for sale. Sellers can attach the paperwork buyers ask for, and anything a seller has not had verified is labelled as such rather than implied.

Find work or hire

Browse job openings with the commitment, level and deadline stated up front, or list your own skills in the talent pool so employers can find you for contract and casual work.

Earn on HubCart

Every account inside the HubCart ecosystem begins with a unified Customer profile. Moving from consumer to service provider is seamless — activate one or more specialised professional roles and manage your whole business dashboard alongside your personal shopping wallet.

Some roles start as soon as you apply. Others — driving in particular — need documents such as a licence, insurance or an NTSA inspection certificate, and are activated once those have been checked. You are told which applies when you apply.

Why it is built this way

Money is traceable, not just moved

Every credit and debit on your wallet carries its date, amount and reason, so any balance can be traced back to the events that produced it. Refunds are worked out against what was actually collected.

SLA-driven dispute resolution

An order variance opens a structured, auditable case, routed to the precise internal department responsible and bound to a response deadline — eliminating unmonitored queues.

Reviews come from the actual parties

Only people who were genuinely on the two sides of a job can rate each other, and only once. That keeps ratings worth reading rather than worth gaming.

True native bilingual support

The entire ecosystem runs in English and Kiswahili across all views — not a translated marketing page with an English app behind it. Toggle your language and every screen, component and interface button transforms with you.

Prices are set by the people trading

Sellers set their own prices, and what a seller asks is what a seller is paid from escrow. Our charges appear as their own lines, so you can see what goes where.

Engineered for distributed commerce

Built natively for M-Pesa. For informal trade, smallholder farms or local nodes with no street registry, merchants attach precise geospatial coordinates to each individual listing, so dispatch maps to where the goods actually are.

How your money is protected

  1. You pay

Your payment goes to HubCart, not straight to the seller.

  2. Secured in escrow

Your payment is isolated in escrow. The seller is told to prepare the order, the driver is dispatched or the host's calendar is locked — but the funds stay frozen against premature disbursement.

  3. Job confirmed

Delivery or completion is confirmed by the parties involved.

  4. Seller is paid

Funds are released, and every movement is recorded.

Payments are held in escrow

When you pay for an order, the money is held rather than passed straight on. It is released once the order is delivered or the job is confirmed — protecting both the buyer and the seller.

Every transaction is recorded

Your wallet keeps a statement of every credit and debit with its date and reason, so any balance can be traced back to the events that produced it.

Fees are shown as separate lines before you confirm a payment, including the M-Pesa transaction charge.

Where escrow applies. Escrow covers payments you make through HubCart — goods, food, rides, inter-city travel, hire and short stays. Long-term property rental works differently: those listings introduce you to the owner and you arrange rent directly with them, so no money passes through HubCart and there is nothing for us to hold. Look for the payment step in the app: if you are paying HubCart, the payment is held in escrow.
